We often think that once we have become a Christian, our response to the good news of Jesus Christ is completed.  The opposite is true.  Our response has just begun!  Each day, we are faced with decisions concerning God and His Word.

As we read our Bibles, we read the message God has for us.  What do we do then?  Do we simply read it, think, "that's good," and continue to live as we did before?  Do we think about it, pray about it, let it sink deep within our soul and then act accordingly?  These are choices we make every day.

In the Christmas Story, we find ordinary people like us, who faced decisions when the word of God came to them.  I believe that we can learn how to respond to God when we examine their lives and responses.  In so doing, we can draw closer to the One who loves us and gave His life for us.  We can also conduct ourselves so that others will come to know Jesus as Savior.

You will not want to miss a single message in this series!
